I lost my life long friend and best man at my wedding, Tim Kokojan, to ALS. I witnessed his diminishing spiral first hand with his family and our closest friends. We worked together taking care of his needs around the clock. We took turns feeding, bathing, clothing, scratching his itchy nose, rolling him over in bed....I had the privilege of taking him on the last vacation of his life on a cross country road trip in a handicap equipped van from Texas to Naples, FL to Atlanta GA and back in one week. Colin Gilbert was the other pair of needed angel hands that made that trip possible. Ive walked in ALS walks and even dedicated one evenings earnings from our restaurant opening to ALSF in Tims name. If me accepting the Ice Bucket Challenge from our mutual friend Lori Collard McGill,pledging to donate funds for everyone I challenge to dump a bucket of ice on their head, and in turn they exponentially do the same to raise awareness and money to help find a cure.... Its worth the time, effort and bucket gimmick to try and end the spiral.
