I love Costco. Yes they pay a living wage to their workers and show how doing so can be more profitable than exploiting workers so thats one reason. But their workers though they have hard jobs are often very friendly nice people. As I was walking out I saw one Costco female employee embracing a customer she knew and I smiled and said, We dont get a hug too? She smiled came over and gave me a hug and said absolutely you get a hug! Then on the way to the car my brother says the guy gathering carts that we appreciate his work and we always return carts to the cart area to make his job easier. He said I wish everyone was like you guys. I said no problem, we are all in this together! He smiled and nodded. To me its very often the little things in life that make things better. Seeing people as people, working hard, each with challenges and stories we dont know and lending a hand or a kind word. I just prefer to live that way, to look for opportunities to smile with people and help. Oh if you want to try something really delicious try what I had for dinner.
