I love Crossfit. However, I do not love going to the gym and I do not like having to pay for a gym membership. I have a pretty good knowledge of crossfit Wods (workout of the day) and whatever I don’t know…I just look it up on youtube. I have been doing vacation WODs for years. I love my home fitness DVDs but I also think switching it up and doing a wide variety of exercises and routines keeps it interesting. I get bored pretty easily. So I heard my friends talking about their 12 days of Christmas WOD at their Box (a crossfit gym) and I remembered doing one YEARS ago when he lived in NJ. It was tough…but fun. So I started to create one for myself. I have a bunch of gym equipment at home so I can do pull ups, deadlifts, wall balls, Kettle bells and all that jazz. But what about the people who follow me who do not have ANY gym equipment?? So…Here you go. Here is a 12 Days of Christmas (Fitmas) Workout that you can do with absolutely NO equipment. It is to be performed just like the song. So you start at 1 and then do 2,1 and then 3,2,1 and so on until you have do 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Grasshoppers are just like Knee to elbows in a plank position but you keep your legs straight and bring your knee to your elbow. You can modify and just do knee to elbow if you want. Grasshoppers hopping just sounded better in the song. LOL. If you do not have space to sprint then Sprint in place. If you do not have a set of dumbbells then you can use anything that is heavy. Load up your purse or a reusable shopping bag and swing it between your legs up to eye level. Or just pretend and don’t use any weight at all. So there you go!
