I love Oprah & watch her OWN network often. On Sunday at 9pm shes doing a special on the heroin epidemic with Russell Brand. The tag line for the program is something about 0n such & such a date, Philip Seymour Hoffman died of a heroin OD & brought the issue out of the shadows. Really?! It only matters now because somebody shiny & Rich & well-known has died? Oprah is late to the party on this issue. That being said, I hope everyone watches the show & those like it. If you think heroin isnt being used by your kids, your spouse & millions of professional people you need to rely on, youre going to be sadly surprised. Its not out of the shadows because Hollywood says so. Its rampant now & has been for a long time. And it will get worse before it gets better. I promise.
