I love Wal-Mart and I do not understand why some are negative. For those who are low income they can afford. For those with several kids and dont want to keep getting them in and out of the car as well as the expense of gas going to several stores...its a one stop shop. For those who have worked there....they give discounts to employees, insurance as well as quarterly profit sharing for both part and full time employees. I understand it may be putting small businesses out but as pointed out, there are many on welfare...this is what they can afford. Smaller businesses are higher prices (understandably) but lower income have to make a choice between rent and utilities and food for the family.....this is their best option unfortunately. Ive been there. There are just as many percentage wise of people on assistance at other minimum wage jobs but they dont offer discounts and/or profit sharing. Just saying.
