I love collaboration. There as been a swirl of writing and ideas being exchanged between Eric, Michael and myself in the past few days. This process has been intense and incredible. What we are really creating is not a script, but a vessel of themes, messages and inquiries that will provide the container from which our story can arise. Its an organic and dynamic undertaking. Personally, I keep falling in love over and over again with the subjects of our film. Their messages are inspiring and I know will make a profound difference on many levels. Theres a part of me that can get impatient and feels like I should be doing more and moving faster. So this message from Michael Kendrick Brown came at the perfect moment over the weekend....If we can just learn to enjoy the timing of events in our lives and not fight it, how much more content would we be? Heres to the timing of this project, which has a life of its own. Taking a breath and trusting that everything happens in the readiness of time. We have an important stretch of filming coming up.
