I love finding good music. Its not easy, its really not. My standards are ridiculously high.not in a snob way, I just need to be able to hear that the artist and people involved didnt just throw the song together. There is nothing wrong with a song put together in two hours or anything like that. But consistent quality and ultra quality are necessary on all levels. Lyrics, music, effects, mixing, mastering, everything needs to be top notch or its not worth my time. Mike Oldfield just met that standard, I was not expecting that since he features a combination of instrumentation and lyrics that are normally parlor tricks to get in the pants of certain brainless hippy women. Im quite impressed and for once Im listening through a whole album instead of just finding one song I enjoy and wishing to burn the rest.
