I love gardening as the sun goes down at night. The most common question that people ask me is where do you find the time? My secret is to pop out for an hour or so when the kids are in bed over the warmer months. The temperature is cooler and it gives me a bit of clarity after a generally hectic day. I love coming back inside when there is no longer enough light for me to see, feeling fresh and happy. I took these pics last night as I pottered around, and it reminded my of how lucky and truly privileged we are to live here. The journey wasnt quick (or easy) but when I watch the kids run around on the lawn squealing in delight, or when my three year old names every variety of fruit tree and tiny veggie seedling as it emerges... I feel as though it was worth it. The decisions we make now can shape their lives forever. Even if we just pop out of an evening and throw a few veggies in where you can. It all makes a difference.
