I love his comments on posts sometimes, so I thought Id quote Charlie Thompson on this post In my past life I never for a moment thought that pathologic fear and hysteria would be a defining characteristic of the American people. But at this point in time theres no other conclusion to be reached, The obsession with guns, the language, the butch haircuts, the swagger, the permissive attitude toward police brutalities, including the murders they commit, and the tendency to vote in any self-involved duckweed on the ballot who reinforces their fear and promises to protect them all lead to that conclusion. Fear is so pervasive that rational thought is beyond the capability of a huge portion of the population. And this is a primary reason why the main problem with America is Americans.
