No, they didnt, they signed a six album deal that if every recording term is maxed they get $1.7 million. I would hazard to guess what they really got was $60,000 LP1 + possibly a mini/max of $175,000 and $350,000 on LP2, both albums guaranteed, which is great for a young band. Albums three through six are at the labels option. Again not a shabby deal but not $1.7 million.
