I love listening to these old records. I used to have a small room next to my parents room when we used to live in Levittown, NY on long island back in the late 60s. My room was very small. But i was 3-4 yrs old. I had a crib that was an heirloom from my grandmother. It had a lockable top on it. But i kbew already how to get out of it! Anyway, i had lots of hand me down albums that mt siblings discarded. And an old styled record player. The kind that looked like an electic typewriter. Had a case and some needles, some plastic center discs for 45s and a long stick that youd stack records onto. Id load up the stick with records and the player would automatally play them one by one. Or repeat the same album side. Whichever. I had some great stuff! I memorized them all. But my favorites besides all those old stones, Beatles,and others...were about 5-6 Bill cosby stand up records !!! These are so marvelous cause his comedy is rated G and all, but also cause when you listen to them, you can shut your eyes and visualize him on stage!! And see how his crowds react to his humor. Its just hilariously entertaining! Qnd refreshingly different. I pull them up from time to time for when days get melancholy for me. They help me to remember exactly ...who I am.
