I love my 6 years olds. Today, I took over the math portion of our day together. On Monday, I took over the rest of the Literacy Program, so now I do all of the morning from when the walk in until their lunch/recess at 12:30 p.m. Next week I will begin taking over the afternoon as well. It takes a lot of time outside of the school day, because I have to study and plan, so that the lessons go smoothly. I am also attending Staff Development and ongoing training on the Engage N.Y. Math curriculum. This is so fun. Every day, I just praise God, as I am rounding the bend of the Naval Shipyard lagoon. I have the best mentor teacher, this too, is a real answer to prayer.
