I love my life in Nova Scotia. I love the full change of seasons. I used to think that when I saw photos of the turning leaves of autumn, that they were of the same small park, somewhere in the province. I was amazed when I discovered that the ENTIRE PROVINCE represented this beautiful transformation! I love that I can live on a 4 acre orchard in the Annapolis valley and my commute to Halifax takes no longer than what used to be, when I lived in downtown Calgary, a 15 minute walk to my stores (or 1.5 hour drive during rush hour, when weather didnt support walking). I love doing business in Nova Scotia. Women support women... Downtown businesses support downtown businesses.... Entrepreneurs support entrepreneurs... I could go on, and on. This is a province full of loyal people, many of whom have seen hard times, who stick together. It is also full of incredible innovators -- creatives who have chosen this home and lifestyle, whether they chose to stay or relocate here, and their decision is working for them. Some say that you must make it big outside of this province, to be appreciated within it. I disagree. I think that if you respect the local people who support you and your business, they will return the love. And they have. I love Nova Scotia.
