I love my new homesteader class, and meeting I take at the Ruritain! Started by a Master Gardener to teach us how to grow better crops,eat organically and safe,healthy food,along with lessons on health care from a Christian chiropractor,ways to save money and extend your pantry and shopping ideas on being prepared for hard economic times,un-planned emergencies, and to learn to live off the land!All taught by seasoned farmers,retired school teachers in agriculture and old timy folks.All come from various walks of Christian American faiths, whom believe in the future of farming and the American way....We even have a bible study that goes with our meeting and tonight we learn about the Menorah I cant believe they are very interested in Hebrew roots too, and this just blows me away, that this is becoming more and more a topic of study among the educated American churches! We share crops,plants and cookies!My favorite teacher is a retired Mt.Airy Principle and he is 80 years old and lived here for generations and really knows how to grow a vegetable garden!He is teaching me all kinds of tricks to grow better and he makes the best Krout and potatoes dishes!His wife is so sweet and they are such a great wealth of information!Cant wait to see what tonights class will host....
