I love “new”; the smell of a new car; the sound of a newborn baby’s cry; the feel of wearing a crisp new shirt; and the challenge of a new semester in school. “New” represents possibility, hope, opportunity, and potential. By contrast “old” things are finished, gone, over past, and made obsolete by the “new.” A “new” year is upon us. It is time to review, to think, to plan, to learn, to dream and to act. A “new” year gives us opportunity to literally change our life and change the world. A “new” year offers forgiveness for our past failures; a clean slate; a pardon from the Great Time Keeper. As we know that spring and planting season is coming to the northern hemisphere; we also know it is now time in the “new” year to plant seeds for future harvest in our lives. When the “new” year arrives never leave the fields of your life to lie fallow. With the New Year upon us, take the time to learn from the past, assess the present, and plan for the future.
