I love porches and I love storm watching. But this caption reminded me so much of my late husband. He loved to watch storms and when one was coming he would go out on the porch and call me to come watch with him. We both enjoyed it. I always wonder if these things will ever end, to be reminded so often of one who was always there but isnt now. And I thank God that when I do remember its always with fondness and not with grief. The sadness and the pain of the memory is gone. And then I thought of some close friends who have lost loved ones and still hurt and grieve when they remember. I sat here and thought about it and wondered Should I share what Im thinking? Does it edify any who read to hear me talk about my hurts and my memories? Well, I do feel led to, so maybe it will some..I think it might be good to share the trials we go through and the storms weve suffered so that we can give our God the glory for bringing us through them. I think it might give an added measure of peace and hope to know there is an end to pain and grief in Christ. We can come through our trials stronger than weve ever been.
