I love reading about #MoralMondays. Whenever I feel discouraged about the state of the state and our country (which is OFTEN), I can always think of what we accomplished here this summer to encourage me to keep up the good fight. And while we accomplished nothing with the NCGA in terms of legislation, I think the new partnerships we built, the reclamation of progressive values as moral values, and the voice the movement gave to so many who didnt know at first how to express the hurt they were feeling with what was going on in Raleigh were all big wins. But, of course, the fight continues.... (One quibble: in their list of just about all community groups imaginable that came together, couldnt they have named some womens groups? PP, NARAL, NCWU, LWV, MomsRising, NCWU - us ladies worked pretty hard this summer, and there were plenty of times I thought more women than men were in attendance at the rallies. A little acknowledgment, please...)
