I love reading post about how bad America is or how bad America has gotten from people who have never spent a significant amount of time overseas. If you truly knew how good and how easy you have it here in the states you would be in amazement that more people are not flooding our gates to get in. Here is the deal, the constitution and bill of rights were written by men, not psychics. Do you think they would not of written the 1st amendment a little differently if they would of known it would be responsible for things like legalized bribery (lobbying) to flag burning? Do you think that if they would of known about the effective power of a suppressed fully automatic M4 they would of penned the second amendment a little different? How about civil forfeiture, you think that would of changed the fourth amendment? That is before we even go down the slippery slope that is the patriot act (the most ironically named bill ever). Law has to evolve with the times. So before you pine for this supposed country that you lost that didnt exist in the way you see it except for some privileged few, understand that America is still one of the best deals out there. Think not? Go to Central America, Eastern Africa, the Middle East, the old Soviet Block states then come back and tell me how much it sucks here....but please spare me your self serving hypocritical diatribe.
