I love seeing everyones posts and photos of their Paps. I think each person who is a member here truly loves his/her dog. No question! I just want to add that it is entirely possible to have a Pap that is shown and meets the standard....AND is loved and adored just as much as anyone else loves their pet. What our dogs do or dont do for a living is not what drives our love for them. Initially, we have all been drawn to the characteristics that differentiate a Pap from other breeds...?but what we have fallen in love with is the individuals unique personality. I just want to say this because I dont want to feel bad when I come here because I have shown and will be showing again in the future (looking forward to a new puppy for 2015). My dogs are not a prized possession....they are my sweet, loving, shedding, family members....and my husband I love them to pieces. They go camping, hiking, swimming, biking etc. With us. They (like yours) have the very bes thing money can buy. Every comfort is theirs. Now that our kids are grown and gone..they are our family. Anyway, just wanted to say that not everyone who loves a dog as close to the breed standard as possible dislikes non-show quality Paps...(one of mine is strictly pet quality). It is possible to love and appreciate both.
