I love the spanking debate that I see waged by people. Seriously, there are much more harsh things a child survives than a parent spanking them when its needed. I should know, I survived quite a bit. If used correctly, its a deterrent. A weapon of ass destruction meant to inspire the child into conforming to an expected behavior or to avoid a particular behavior. Now, not all kids learn the same way and you cant spank the autism out of someone which is where I think the disconnect is. A spanking should never be the only tool in your parenting toolbox.
