I love the visual of this illustration. There is a fuller impact to be learned from this lesson in priorities--when I use this illustration, the jar is our daily lives. I use a large rock to represent faith and spending time with God. The pebbles represent the vital parts of our life (family, friends, people, relationships). Sand represents the necessary things that fill our days (work, school, chores, responsibilities) and the water/chocolate milk represents the fun stuff (hobbies, entertainment, tv, computer stuff). It isnt enough to realize it is possible to fit it all in--its CRITICAL to know the order in which we must place these things. If you try to fit God in LAST, it just will not all fit.
