I love these comments made in response to this article about Oklahomas earthquakes: Kevin Green 3 hours ago+16 Share | Flag the fact is that these little, non threatening earth quakes relieve pressure on faults and release fault triggers in little spurts. If it could be coordinated and controlled you will see it as a technique along major fault activity in the future. none of these quakes will cause damage, but destroying the Oil Industry in OK would be an economic disaster. Now you know this Left wing radical legislator did not do this on his own but is being contacted and encouraged by Federal EPA and Obama people to get the FEDS in so they can over rule state sovereignty. Terry 10 hours ago+20 Share | Flag I mean if we dont DO SOMETHING, there may actually be some damage caused. After all, we have never seen this many earthquakes around Tulsa and OK City since..., since..., well since weve been there watching -- which is somewhere around like, what, 200 years? Now THATS a long time, except when measured in geological time periods -- in which case, because the Earth is something over 4 BILLION years old, it is less than the pre-flash for your cell-phone selfie. But there has GOT to be MEGA-BUCKS in it, POLITICAL LEVERAGE, and INTELLECTUAL SUPERIORITY POINTS for the believers. I mean, look at the comments already. I think its time we declare CONSENSUS! Terry 10 hours ago+9 Share | Flag Finally! Something to take our minds off of Global Warming, Catastrophic Climate Change, and the revolutionary (no pun intended) scientific discovery that the Earth is ROUND!!! A Geologist and a State Legislator (check the party affiliation?) in Oklahoma want an immediate (and no doubt astronomically costly) evaluation and Emergency Action Plan to halt the heretofore unnoticed seismic activity, both in their frequency and intensity, BY THE END OF THE YEAR! ktul/story/26190620/legislator-calls-for-task-force-on-oklahoma-earthquake-emergency
