I love this! This actually hits really close to home. Ive had friends (and mentors of all people) make critical comments about my body image when I posted videos of me working last summer on the co.space without a shirt on, saying I was too skinny and shouldnt show that to the public as it would turn people away. I hate to burst your bubble folks - but this is me. Im not going to hide myself. I have one body and Im proud of it. If I were to hide myself on my business videos, how am I any better than any of the airbrushed magazine spreads of celebrities... What message would that send to someone who thinks they dont look good enough to lead change in the world or follow their dream. Me being skinny had no impact on the work I do today - so why should I hide it as if it would negatively impact the way people see my business. Never let the critics make you think critically of your body - you are beautiful just as you are! And the more positively you think about yourself, the more youll find yourself wanting to eat better and exercise more - its all a positive feedback loop. Love yourself and dont be afraid to stand up to those who say otherwise. Often times, their comments come from a place of insecurity within themselves and its simply easier for them to dish it at others.
