I love this video. There are currently 200 million woman world wide missing and murdered. In Latin America gender violence or femicide is actually on the rise. Machismo and a selective incorrect and misinterpretation of Catholicism are some of the roots causes. In my mother land, Chile, gender violence is not a culturally approved topic of discussion and it can be incredibly difficult to pin down some actual numbers because the government tends to cover up the problem. To be born a woman in Latin America is to know that its not a matter of if but when you will be subjected to some form of violence because of your gender. But we need more of these artist warriors to keep holding that mirror up to society
