I love to be there. We love to share different views of Canberra and Eilleen Eugenio has developed a reputation on Instagram for championing the beauty of the Tuggeranong area. Eilleen is a mother-of-two who works in the public service by day and teaches tae kwon-do by night. She is also passionate about photographing Tuggeranong and in particular Lake Tuggeranong. “I have lived in the area for five years and just love it. I think it is one of Canberras hidden gems,” she said. Eilleen captures all her images on her mobile phone and is a fan of this medium of photography. “I love working with the limitations of phone photography and I think it forces me to be more creative than I normally would be. I currently use my Samsung Galaxy Note3 and my Gear2 (smart watch),” she said. Her best tip for mobile phone photography is to understand what your phone can do and compose accordingly. Eilleen said there is inspiration everywhere in Canberra for keen photographers. “Canberra weather and easily accessible picturesque places often mean theres always something to photograph. Online, I love looking at the #igerscanberra and #visitcanberra feed on Instagram and Facebook to discover more places to photograph,” she said. “I love sharing on Instagram because Ive learned so much about photography and mobile phone photography.
