I love to share this very beautiful poem I read from one of Fr. Oscar Orbos column, sometime ago - the title is One Little Rose. Id rather have one little rose from a friend than to have the choicest flowers when life has come to an end; Id rather hear a pleasant word in kindness said to me, than flattery when my heart is still and my life has ceased to be; Id rather see a loving smile from friends whom I know are true, than tears shed around my casket when this world I bid Adieu; So bring me all your flowers today, whether pink, or white or red; Id rather have a blossom now than a truckload when I am dead. Come to think of it, I really would like to remind everyone to try to be like our pope who is very good example of Humility. I feel goosebumps when I hear people speak of praises for a dear friend or relative who had been a target of INTRIGUES and ENVY all his/her life. And suddenly you hear kind words when he/she cant hear anymore. I make it a point to say I Love You to people I really love, with all my heart. This is one thing I was not able to do when my Papa and Mama were alive. My cousin, Nening, always ends our conversation with Love you. Shes one of the best among my best cousins. She lived a simple life in West Virginia with a very loving husband who recently passed away. Their house was a sanctuary of jobless friends and relatives from the Philippines. I salute you, my cousin, Youre one of a kind. Youre really a true grandchild of Lolo Juan as we fondly called our grandfather. Your late sister, Sefa, was also very generous with all of us. Her daughters vowed to continue Her Legacy - to keep helping relatives and friends deserving their help. They come every year during her death anniversary. God is so good to the family. He gave them husbands who shared their beliefs. thanks to Emil, Behs husband and Abet, Charos better - half. They are God - sent. To Abet, I have this to say - keeps spreading Gods word. I miss our Saturdays together. To Emil, I will always remember our days at Inner Peace Movement before. I really love you, guys. Youre just like my own kids. Yesterday, my sister - in - law Ludy, a former teacher in San Beda College, now retired, came for her monthly visit she and her husband usually did Primo, my half brother was still alive. I really love her for the gesture. At her age coming from Sta. Rosa, Laguna to QC where I reside takes a lot of guts to travel by bus, then by Jeepney, and tricycle - Three rides to reach my place. What a loving gesture. Thank god for giving me a sister - in - law like her. Blessed Sunday to all!
