I love when I wake up to these type of headlines. In a systemic review of over 760,000 people, there was 32% decrease in stroke risk seemed to be associated with every 200 grams of fruit a person consumes each day, and a 11% decrease in stroke risk seemed to be associated with every 200 grams of vegetables eaten per day. Overall 600 grams consumed of fruits and vegetables was associated with a reduced risk of ischemic stroke by 19%!. What medicine or supplement can claim this association? As someone with a strong family history of stroke, I must take keep this on my mind and in my heart..pun intended. Alas, In the time it took me to read my morning news I just polished off 1 cup (170 grams) of blueberrries. And guess what? I enjoyed every bite. webmd/stroke/news/20140508/fruits-and-veggies-may-lower-stroke-risk
