I loved Emilys old school, it was a hard decision to leave it. But one thing that I always had a hard time with was that the kids didnt get much outdoor time. Emily is an energetic child, but will bottle it up because she also is fearful of getting in trouble and not following rules. So now between each subject we study at home I give them a long break. Today the girls decided to paint outside. It was beautiful to let them breathe in the fresh morning air and get all squishy with paint. Then after they hosed off, guess what??, Emily was ready and 100% willing to start working on school again. This was something I was really excited about homeschooling.
