I loved viewing this personal creation of memories this morning and I thought that the music - Ill be there, by the Jackson 5, was perfectly chosen. I am watching Elises journey, for a couple of reasons really... one reason is that Elise went to school with Monique, so I sit with a vulnerable, crumbling heart only imagining the challenges Elises family and friends must be facing in accepting the outcome of her battles. And, Oh, how much I wish their pain to be relieved, as they tirelessly, and probably often, tiredly, work through many events in lives that are outside of their control. The other reason is... I love watching our community come together, supportively and compassionately. A community that is loving a stranger because she reminds us of our daughter, our wife, our sister, our cousin, our niece, our friend or ourself. I watch the contagiousness of this humility and love as my beautiful community is generous in well wishes, diverse support and financial assistance. And then I saw what I really want Christmas, and its simple really because I will want it every year, so keep adding it to your list. Its never discounted, nor on special, but it will never need an accompanied card, nor to be wrapped in fancy paper... Stop being distracted and Be there for each other - our family, friends and strangers... compassionately caring, forgiving and loving each other, reminding ourselves that everyones last days are nearing. Have an awesome day tomorrow, quietly lovingly passing that present around with a smile and an open, accepting heart xx Much love Paula xx
