I made a Dobos Torta today. The cake is super easy to mix up. The mocha cream is super easy to mix up. However, the caramel topping is an entirely different matter. I was able to do it although it wasnt easy. The sugar hardens really fast in some spots and it stays sticky in other spots as you are trying to make the slices. The knife gets full of hardened sugar regardless of the hot knife and the oil. lol I finally just took my big butcher knife and cracked through each piece where there was somewhat of a mark. It isnt the prettiest looking caramel topping, but I am sure it will taste good nonetheless. It is in the fridge right now, Ill post a photo later on.
