I made a batch of ginger snap cookies this afternoon. They are soooo good! The best part is they are from a cookbook that my Grandmother left me when she went to Heaven. The cookbook is over 75 years old. When it calls for the temperature of the oven, it will say slow oven or moderate oven or quick oven, because this cookbook is for the old wood burning stoves years ago. I still remember seeing my grandmother adding wood to the stove when she was ready to bake cookies or a cake. And, boy sometimes it was hot in that kitchen!!!
