I made a fruit saison for my wifes b-day and just tapped the keg - TopicsExpress

I made a fruit saison for my wifes b-day and just tapped the keg tonight. 100% Pilsner malt and hopped with Nugget and Polish Lublin. I used some crushed Coriander seeds in the boil and added a slurry of vodka soaked blueberry, nectarine, and lemon zest during secondary fermentation. The saison yeast I used has been passed around and recycled all summer and has lost some its funkiness. I racked the wort directly on the yeast cake from the previous batch I had made. It came in at 5.5%abv, but should a little higher due to the vodka used to sanitize the fruit. Its definitely the least hoppy beer Ive ever brewed and IMO would be a great gateway beer for someone just getting into it.
