I made a mistake of assuming that my holiday in Salima was going - TopicsExpress

I made a mistake of assuming that my holiday in Salima was going to be a bore. Mainly, this was because many of my Salima homies are married and are quickly contributing to population grown. Secondly it was because some my previous areas of interest are no longer areas of interest( dont ask which because I wont answer.) The more I live here the more I am now learning I was mistaken. I am having abundant fun here. Strange but true, one of the reasons(one I wouldnt dare mention in my younger years- farming. Another has got to do with birdsongs of my childhood and the sweet memories they are evoking. Some places and faces that remind me of a younger version of me. I mean places that take me back as far as my first infatuation with a village Beauty(name withheld for legal reasons ha!ha! Just kidding,it becoz it is funny name), the not so-brave-cardicarrest-indicing propasal, the brief love affair that nearly ended into early marriage(smirks, laughs are not permitted here) Ofcourse food. Eating goat meat on 1st January(it is a must!), eating delicious local delicacies, flying ants. Reading my books under the pattering rains chewing roasted maize. Yes quality time with my Salima fam. Granny and team. Mother and her two grand kids(thanks to my younger brother. Already two kids ahead. Ha! Ha! Younger brother has forgotten manners! That means your truly will be forced to start with not less than twins to catch up. Ha! Ha! My brothers kids are a bundle of fun esp the little. It is fun to hear his baby language. The cooing. Ha! Ha! The boy singing too. Not the forgetting the rescuing of things. As far as little one is concerned everything is ending up in his mouth.
