I made a mistake when I went into town on Rancho California at 4:30pm this afternoon; instead of taking Anza Road to 79 South (Temecula Parkway) my car turned itself into Rancho California. The road was pretty clear from Anza until after I passed Calle Contento. Oh no, I made a second mistake not turning left into Calle Contento & to Paupa Road. Too late! Most weekends there are long line of cars all the way to Butterfield Stage and 5 mins drive turns into 10 to 15 mins on this section. There are so many issues with Temecula Valley Wine Country expansion. The worst is this slow traffic flow from Calle Contento to Butterfield Stage Road, it is only 2 lanes road with a middle turn lane. Currently we have 40+ wineries in Temecula and this weekend traffic issue is already annoying for me. Can you imagine what the tourists would feel like to have traffic jam all over the wine country. Temecula Valley Wine Country plans to expand into 100+ wineries /resorts in the future. I surely hope the County better prepare for more roadways to get in and out of the Wine Country so it will not be ugly during the weekends.
