I made a post earlier and a message which resonated from many of the comments is that we are jaded beyond truly caring about what happens in the north east. Uncle Ebele Joe declares tomorrow. I hear hes not supposed to postpone because, well, northern leaders are reaping what they sowed. So, northern leaders are the ones reaping when innocent and defenseless citizens (most of them children) are killed and maimed? What logic! What do I know sef? Make I face my work with preemies and impact as many lives as I can before... With the things I read and hear and see on a daily basis, Nigeria is in a state of nature and looks like we are becoming more animalistic than human. Emperor Nero can continue to fiddle. Let his fellow travelers, including northern leaders, keep playing the music and we, citizens tossed about by the storm of evil leadership, we may continue to dance at the precipice of disaster... One day, na one day, the evil which still seems so far away, may just berth its ship on our doorstep. I wonder who will remain in the north east to blame it on wherever-leaders. Hope deferred makes the heart grow weary. My heart is weary and tired of hoping for a better Nigeria. I have kept the faith all this while but...
