I made a presentation on Social Change and the Role of Muslim Women in Sri Lanka at the Seminar on Social Change in the Contemporary World and Women, on the Islamic Womens Day, organised by the Iranian Cultural Center, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Hazrath Fathima Zahra (AS), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). The Hon Governor of the Southern Province Ms Hema Balasooriya, Ms Jezima Islmail, Ms Marina Ismail (Daughter of Late Dr A M A Azeez, the first Sri Lankan Muslim in British Civil Service in Sri Lanka) and my dear friend the Gender-Legal Specialist Ms Chulani Kodikara also made presentations at the event. The Ambassador of Iran and Dr. Alireza Khoshrou, the Cultural Counselor of the Iranian Cultural Centre also spoke at the event.
