I made a simple vegan dinner for me and my mom tonight as she is going to be in Lancaster, CA tomorrow at my sisters. I rushed over. It took 15 min. to cook hahahaha lmao.. as opposed to the 4 min. when I made it for myself yesterday. She was really impressed and the placed smelled so incredibly fragrant. I only noticed this when I went back in from outside. She kept glowing that she was going to eat good food and kept saying Im eating good food!!. It was so funny! She also said You remind me of your father, because he used to cook for her. The pics didnt upload LOL.. before.. I was rather in a hurry... she is too easily impressed. lol Its too bad my mom never learned how to cook, because at this stage in her life, avoiding a plant based diet, not even that interested in veggies and fruits, eating corn, sugars, greasy meats, eating whatever was given to her by others, its taken a big toll on her health. I dont think she REALIZES the connection between feeling like you are ALIVE AND HEALTHY, thriving and good, and that it has to do with healthy foods you put in your mouth.. life affirming, not life deadening foods. I remember when I was very young and living at home, I never liked her food so I would never eat her food and go to burger king instead, not to eat hamburgers, to have the chicken sandwich, it didnt take long before I became a vegetarian after that.. thanks to the influence from John Robbins who wrote Diet for a new America.. the heir to the Baskin and Robbins fortune, who turned his back on ice cream making because he saw it was killing everyone he loved. Others like River Phoenix who was using some of the money he made in Hollywood to buy the Rain Forest.. and espoused vegetarianism, how many are busy buying the rain forest so it will not be chopped down? I am glad I woke up in life, and not with regrets after I died.
