I made a song with traditional pop textures but tried to use my voice and the format of the piece as a tool to deconstruct the limits that we place on vocal beauty and perfection. Often, the voice doesnt get to experience its full potential, regardless if its appealing or not. In this piece I skimmed the surface of that. The visual part of the video is clips of me letting go of both my perception of myself and other peoples perception of me, while I dance to the DJ Octo Octas music. Sometimes its necessary to forget about the judgements placed upon the aesthetics of the physical, and just experience your body for who and how it is from within.
