I made an earlier post where I claimed to have identified the Vicarage which gave Vicarage Road its name. Well Peter Trainer and John Lloyd I was wrong. The first picture here shows what I thought was the Vicarage arrowed in green. I know now that this is not the vicarage being demolished but the first house being BUILT in Highfield Crescent. The Vicarage buildings would be in the red rectangle. The two maps show it exactly and I overlaid the accurate 1925 map over the modern view. I have marked the buildings in red. With the eye of faith can I make out some structures in the red rectangle in the first picture?. Wishful thinking perhaps!
