I made my own highlight reel of things that happened in 2014. Rick and I walked over Lake Superior to see the ice caves at Grand Island. We survived the polar vortex winter, including a frozen septic field, but that was nothing compared to what Matt Maki survived in Ukraine. Rick and I celebrated 11 years of marriage. I won 2nd place in the Shaw Prize from Dunes Review . My chapbook, In The Yellowed House, was published by {dancing girl press & studio}, I read at the Woman Made Gallery with some amazing poets. My 100 day sock puppet project evolved into a draft of a childrens book. I did a fantastic road trip, including a workshop at Sundress Academy for the Arts Firefly Farms | Knoxville visited almost all of my east coast family. There was a trip to Colorado and time with family. The T & E Epic Road Tour stopped in Marquette. I had so much fun writing, producing and performing our play Romancing the Geek. I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by the editorial board of Border Crossing. I had a final visit with family in Boulder and here in Gordon. I am so blessed with a wonderful partner Richard Rastall) with a fantastic family and so many friends. I cant wait to see what 2015 will bring.
