I made my rookie debut last night with my CG. I bought 2 bags of wood lump but I needed to season the grill so I decided to use the tiny amount of charcoal I had left since I wasnt cooking anything anyway. I was amazed at how hot and long it burned! After about 5 hours it was still a steady 500°. I figure that was plenty of season time so I asked my wife if she wanted to throw a pizza together for practice. She used raw refrigerated pizza dough. The pizza came out perfect in the crust was not burnt at all. The problem is the crust literally fused to the pizza stone. I was thinking it was maybe because she didnt put flour or cornmeal between the stone and the dough. Can anyone tell us what we did wrong?
