I made seafood chowder today. 3 potatoes peeked, cut, and boiled 15 minutes while cooking 3 oz salt pork, garlic (till browned). Then cook 1/2 chopped sweet onion and a salmon steak in frying pan (to brown both sides of salmon and soften. Deboned salmon and broke into chunks. Put all in slow cooker. Add 1 can lobster chowder, one can seafood chowder, 16 oz milk, 8 oz crabmeat, and about half a package of precooked microwave bacon. No salt added (salt pork instead).
