I made the Crescent Chicken Roll Ups for dinner this evening and I must say ... DELICIOUS!! I put my own adaptation on the original recipe by adding the sauce after baking so the crescent dough isnt soggy. I also added some stuffing to the filling. I love these and would also make plain without the sauce for Gameday munchies :) Soooooo yummy! 1 can 8 count crescent rolls 1 6oz boneless skinless chicken breast 1 small cooking onion 6 fresh mushrooms 1 box Uncle Bens stuffing of your choice 2 tbsp butter BBQ sauce if desired Fresh shredded cheddar or cheese of your choice if desired Prepare stuffing mix according to directions and set aside to cool Melt butter in skillet on medium heat and chop onions mushrooms and chicken into small bite size pieces. Saute until cooked about 7 minutes. Set aside to cool. Mix cooled chicken n veg with the cooled stuffing. Lightly spray a shallow baking dish .. I used a glass pie plate. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate each triangle. Place a generous scoop of chicken stuffing mix at the wide end. Carefully roll up and place in baking dish abut 1/2 inch apart. Finish as with each crescent roll and filling. After arranging in baking dish sprinkle with some Mrs Dash or salt n pepper. Squeeze some BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Rays) on top then some fresh shredded cheddar. Bake on middle rack of preheated 400 F oven for 18-20 minutes or until tops of Crescents are golden. Serve with Chicken or Turkey gravy/sauce on top if desired. This is a FANTASTIC meal and sooooo tasty!!! #crescentrolls #chickenrollups
