I made this beautiful film documenting the work of Philip Champion..Philip has built an urban garden in his community which is considered a food desert..The community garden has things living foods such as Kale, Spinach, Broccoli and etc...Philip is giving away the harvest from the garden to members of the community and enlisting neighborhood children and volunteers to help maintain the garden....People outside of the community can purchase the produce and 100% of the profits go to the neighborhood kids...This is good proactive black leadership that we need across the board..Its not about reacting...Its about being proactive in our neighborhoods to help sustain and improve our circumstances...This is also a good example of how we as a people need ,should and can come together ..Watch and share the video..if it doesnt inspire you I dont know what will..
