I made this video in July of 2006. I received a phone call with my sons girlfriend screaming over and over THE HOUSE IS BURNINNG DOWN . I felt so helpless. I jumped in my van and headed for Kenosha. Its a 1 1/2 hour drive from Rockford and the house was still burning when I arrived. They were renting the home and had no insurance. They lost EVERYTHING in the home and 1 vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The community banded together and helped my family through this horrible time in our lives and we will be forever grateful to the people of Kenosha and the Red Cross. We are also thankful to God that nobody died in the fire including their 2 dogs Brownie and Boo. All of the pictures shown in the video before the fire were taken on the day they moved into the home. I found it sadly ironic as I made this video that the before pictures were taken on one of the happiest days of their lives only to be paired with pictures taken on one of the saddest. To this day....I still cry when I watch this video. Believe it or not....the fire was a blessing in disguise because as he was losing every material thing he owned on this earth...he was saved both physically and spiritually.
