I made yogurt this weekend. It was silly easy. Boil 4 cups whole milk then add it to a large mason jar. When its hot but cool enough to touch, add 2 tablespoons of yogurt, add lid, wrap in a towel and then place in the oven. In the morning , it was insanely good and much tangier than commercial brands, which are stating to taste like too much cream to me. I have an old wedgewood with a pilot light so my oven is probably warmer than most but I bet you could heat a new oven to 200, then turn it off and wrap it in lots of towels. My inner hippie is happy.
