I may be criticized for what Im about to say, but Im saying it - TopicsExpress

I may be criticized for what Im about to say, but Im saying it anyway. I was just told about ANOTHER disorder that afflicts people. I REALLY wish that people would quit NAMING their problems [thus legitimizing them] and work to CONQUER and OVERCOME challenges. If Id allowed myself the luxury of excuses these last 12 years Id be homeless, have THREE daughters (not four), not have a business, and worse. Everyone has battles--EVERYONE. The people who count their battles, name them one by one instead of count your blessings and find a work-around are the ones who live life bitter, limited and alone. Ive said it once and Ill say it again!! If I dont let my deaf daughter make excuses, I wont accept them from you. Dont tell me why you cant [or why your kid cant, or why others shouldnt be expected to] and show me HOW you can. If I could grown a business from concept to international in 2 years without a running car, without a penny to my name or a drop of income, during my husbands cancer battle, raising FOUR kids under 8, homeschooling them, one of whom was disabled and completely non-verbal at the time, what can you do when you quit giving yourself an out and make a decision to change your life and the world for the better? I am no better, no smarter, no more elaborately equipped...nothing...than any of you reading this post. In fact, I likely had almost NONE of what you have when I started. I prayed a lot, cried a lot, made lots of mistakes, but worked hard, and believed beyond all reason that I had something to contribute--and would. You can do that too. End of rant!! [for now].
