I may be polyamorous, but I am not a slut by common parlance. I often wonder why it is such a big deal. Sure, there are pragmatic considerations. You have to consider diseases. You have consider pregnancy (in some cases). You must always consider emotional response. But why are these not norms in our society? Is there some basic concept in our culture that makes the ideal of loving each other (not physically, but emotionally) wrong? And why is it that when we want to express those feeling physically, it must be filtered through cultural acceptance norms? I guess, in a nutshell, why must it be that my decision (or anyones) to love and/or be intimate with another person should EVER be subject to someone elses opinion on the matter?
