I may just get my sleep pattern back in to some kind of normal - TopicsExpress

I may just get my sleep pattern back in to some kind of normal tonight. Had a big day and wore myself out! Had to get a bone density scan done in Wangaratta. Supposed to have them done every 2 years and apparently the last was 2011, ooops. The x-ray technician at the hospital told me shes changed my schedule to yearly scans now, so hoping thats nothing to do with what was on the scan. Oh well, will know by Tuesday. Last time they checked I had moderate osteopenia. Most likely a result of numerous medications I have been on long term that can reduce bone density. Its unavoidable, but not a side effect people are usually warned about. My low bone density was only discovered by mistake via an x-ray I had when I dropped an iron on my foot. The ankle is one place that can show low bone density. I take vitamin D daily to help maintain the bone mass. This can be a quite effective treatment if you KNOW you have it and prevent or at least delay the onset of osteoporosis. There are a whole range of medications that can lead to osteopenia. Things like epileptic medications, long term use of prednisolone, depro provera and there are more. Its worth checking in to it.
