I may need to clarify... NEVER EVER would Jon or I refuse treatment for Olivia...if it ACTUALLY helped! We are in no way saying that we are smarter than her doctors. And aside from this issue today, we have felt nothing but pure satisfaction from the people taking care of her. And the end of the day, its all about Olivia. If she needs oxygen, for the love of GOD! Give it to her! If she doesnt, take it off her face! Our frustration lies in just how poorly certain people did their jobs today. To have no idea that one of your patients had been on oxygen for almost 2 weeks upon admission to your hospital? Im sorry, its in her chart. No excuse! We are more than happy to be at childrens hospital, and we know that this is where she will get the best help ever. And again, just to clarify...we want whats best for our daughter. We want her healthy as can be before she comes home. And we are willing to do whatever it takes to get her here! If that means trying her on oxygen yet again, so be it. Sacrifice has been the first of many lessons of motherhood that Ive had to learn in these past 7 weeks, and Im sure Ill learn it time and time again. But, my God, she is so worth it.
